Payment Arrangements
What do you need help with?
Yes, you can request an RDS payment arrangement from Housing Connect, in 'My Enquiries & Forms'.
Contact SA Housing Trust on 131 299 to discuss changes, or make a non-RDS payment arrangement.
Contact SA Housing Trust on 131 299 as soon as possible if you have not made payments you agreed to.
Payment arrangements for rent charges or rent arrears can be set up as a percentage of your total weekly rent charge. You will see the calculated dollar amount in the 'Percent Amount' column.
For example, you may nominate to pay 20% of the total rent towards arrears.
If your rent increases your payment arrangement amount will increase with it and will remain at 20% of your weekly rent.
A fixed amount is based on the dollar amount you nominated when setting up the payment arrangement.
If your rent increases and your expected payment amount is fixed, it may no longer meet the minimum payment amount.
A payment arrangement made through the Rent Deduction Scheme to repay a debt will automatically move to other segments with a debt. Deductions continue until all debt across all segments are paid.
This doesn't apply to payment arrangements made through the Rent Deduction Scheme to your Rent segment.
If you have a payment arrangement to repay rent arrears paid either by the Rent Deduction Scheme or Direct Debit the deductions will automatically end when your rent is two weeks in advance.
Direct Debit deductions stop when the segment balance reaches $0. You may need to contact SA Housing Trust on 131 299 to move the Direct Debit to your Rent segment.
This doesn't apply to payment arrangements made by Direct Debit to your Rent segment.
These indicate different payment types
- DD shows you are paying via Direct Debit
- DVA shows you are paying via Department of Veteran's Affairs
- RDS shows you are paying via Rent Deduction Scheme (Centrelink)
This may mean Centrelink have suspended your payments. Once your Centrelink payments start again your Payment Arrangement will update.
